There are no accounts and no logins. We do not run advertising trackers. We never store your IP address or your card details, and we do not keep copies of images from the pages we link to.
A listing holds what was submitted for it: a link, a name, an optional social handle, an optional caption, and an optional image. All of it is public — that is the point of a board.
A contribution can carry a display name. Leave it blank and it shows as “Anonymous”. Whatever you put there is published next to the amount, so do not put anything private in it.
A report holds the reason you wrote and the listing it concerns. Reports are not published.
We do not store IP addresses. We hash the address with a secret salt and keep only the hash. It cannot be reversed to an address, and without the salt it cannot be matched against one either.
The hash is what lets us count visitors without identifying them, apply rate limits so one person cannot flood the board or the report queue, and see when the same source files many reports.
Payment is processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout and never touch this site. We keep a payment reference so the same payment cannot be counted twice, the amount, and the display name if you gave one.
When a link is submitted we fetch that page to read its title, description, icon and preview image. That request goes to the destination like any other visit. Images are streamed through this site rather than loaded directly by your browser, so viewing a listing does not tell that host about you — and we do not keep a copy of the image.
Clicking through to a listing sends you to a third-party site with a utm_source parameter so the operator can see the visit came from here. What that site then does is covered by its own privacy policy, not this one.
Listings and contributions are kept for as long as the board runs — the ranking is the record. Visitor hashes are deleted after 90 days without a visit. Rate-limit counters are pruned once their window has passed.
To have a listing removed, use the report form or write to removals@ledge.lol. The same address takes any question about this notice.
Because there are no accounts, we usually cannot connect a request to a specific past visit — tell us the listing you mean.
